Fremantle

Montreal Commons

An innovative, sustainable, apartment development in Fremantle encourages an inspired new community with a wide range of living options and communal spaces.

Partnering with OP Properties, we brought this remarkable, innovative project to life. A 39-apartment development in Fremantle, Montreal Commons is one of the first carbon-neutral developments in Australia producing around 240 tonnes less carbon emissions a year, compared to the average apartment building. Using solar, precinct battery storage and an innovative power trading arrangement to deliver a 50% offset to strata levies.

Montreal Commons was recently acknowledged by Bioregional Australia as an Australian One Planet Living® project of international standing, and an outstanding example of the use of the Bioregional International One Planet Living® framework.

“As one of the first carbon-neutral certified apartments for its operations in Australia, it demonstrates that the vision for a de-carbonised built environment is both affordable, achievable and commercial,”  said Phil Donaldson – Bioregional Australia Foundation’s Chief Executive Leader.
