Stalker Road, Gosnells – Northerly teams up once again with Rocky Bay
Working with Rocky Bay’s Special Disability Accommodation (SDA) company, Shift Homes, Northerly led the build to help people with varying degrees of disability to be able live their best life.
The collaboration marks the fourth occasion Northerly has partnered with Rocky Bay, this time to help bring to fruition Stalker Road, Gosnells, a new era of accessible living featuring five boutique residences with a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom homes.
‘Rocky Bay has been empowering people to realise their true potential since 1938. We are so proud to be part of this project, and partnerships such as this align perfectly with our own company positioning of Creating Positive,’ said Northerly Managing Director, Michael Lawson.
State-of-the-art SDA features include automated doors, remote control blinds and window treatments, wider entry and hallways, zero trip hazards and specialised kitchens with features such as oven doors that open from the side for wheelchair access. Bathrooms boast adjustable height benches for ease of use.
Ultimately, the residences are designed to enable residents to move around effortlessly and create a greater feeling of confidence and control that hopefully flows onto other parts of their lives.
The project, completed in November 2023, was made possible by the generous bequest of Grant Lewis, and has the potential to provide accommodation for up to ten people. Currently, there are several new projects linking Rocky Bay and Northerly in the pipeline.
